Welcome to Hope, Hearts & Heroes

We are seven writers who will share with you about our writing experiences, our published books and upcoming releases, and maybe some of our short writing pieces. Some of us write Fantasy, some of us write in one of the Romance genres (not all the same), and one of us writes Historical Westerns. All of our work has a positive message. We hope you will enjoy your visit here and visit again.

The following are the bios for the authors who write here:

Kelly F. Barr

Kelly F. Barr is a wife and mother from Pennsylvania. She has been writing for many years. She currently writes for the Almost an Author blog, as well as her own website at: kellyfbarr.com and for Clean Fiction Magazine.
She is in the process of going through final edits on what will be her first historical romance novel. She is also a freelance writer and a Book Reviewer. You can find more information on her website. In addition to her love for God, her family, reading and writing, she loves dogs and enjoys taking walks with her black Labrador Retriever.

Patrick Lauser

Patrick Lauser is a lover of God and of all lovers of God, a purveyor of the strange things of our Maker, and a founding member of OOM (Of Our Maker), which is a fellowship for those who share a love for the eerie, outlandish, and odd.
He has written a surreal novella called: “Jorgan the Sphere: a Foreshadowed Way”, a children’s book called: “What Does Mr. Person Fear?”, and a short story in the second volume of the “Fantastic Schools” anthologies edited by Jagi Lamplighter Wright.
The sort of books that interest him include “The Place of the Lion” and others by Charles Williams, “König’s Fire” and others by Marc Schooley, “Angel Fall” by Coleman Luck, “Carnacki the Ghostfinder” and others by William Hope Hodgson, Richard Scarry, and the I Spy books. Some of his favourite things are birches and dream journalling. Talking about himself in third-person tickles.

Max B. Sternberg

Believer, Husband, and Father: Max B. Sternberg lives in Virginia with his wonderful wife and two incredible boys. When he is not working, or filling his time with the activities of a husband and dad, he enjoys delving deeper into biblical scripture and telling dad jokes. He strives to live his life as best he can – in all areas – for Jesus. Max believes that humor, mixed with truth, and tied together in a relatable way, can be an amazing way to reach people for the Lord. It is his sincere hope that readers will find his imaginings, paired together with biblical truth, inspirational for a deeper relationship with Christ.

C. S. Wachter

C. S. Wachter lives in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with her husband Joe, one German Shepherd, and three cats. She and Joe have been married for more than forty years and have three sons, one grandson and one granddaughter.

Ms. Wachter earned her degree in Performing Arts and English Education from Rowan University in 1975. She compares developing a character’s perspective to preparing for an acting role. As a life-long lover of books, she has read and enjoyed a variety of genres. However, after reading J. R. R. Tolkien in middle school her favorite has been, and remains to this day, Fantasy with a Christian perspective.
