We are six writers who will share with you about their writing experiences, their published books and upcoming releases, and maybe, some of their short writing pieces. Some of us write Fantasy and some of us write in one of the Romance genres (not all the same). All of our work has a positive message. We hope you will enjoy your visit here and visit again.
The following are the bios for the authors who write here:
Kelly F. Barr is a wife and mother from Pennsylvania. She has been writing for many years. She currently writes for the Almost an Author blog, as well as her own website at https://kellyfbarr.com/ She is in the process of going through final edits on what will be her first historical romance novel. She is also a freelance editor and you can find more information about that on her website. When she’s not homeschooling her youngest son, writing, or reading a book to review, she can be found sitting on her deck or taking a walk with her black Labrador Retriever.
Patrick Lauser is a lover of God and of all lovers of God, a purveyor of the strange things of our Maker, and a founding member of OOM (Of Our Maker), which is a fellowship for those who share a love for the eerie, outlandish, and odd.
He has written a surreal novella called: “Jorgan the Sphere: a Foreshadowed Way”, a children’s book called: “What Does Mr. Person Fear?”, and a short story in the second volume of the “Fantastic Schools” anthologies edited by Jagi Lamplighter Wright.
The sort of books that interest him include “The Place of the Lion” and others by Charles Williams, “König’s Fire” and others by Marc Schooley, “Angel Fall” by Coleman Luck, “Carnacki the Ghostfinder” and others by William Hope Hodgson, Richard Scarry, and the I Spy books. Some of his favourite things are birches and dream journalling. Talking about himself in third-person tickles.
You can visit his site at OfOurMaker.com.
Lisa R. Howeler is a wife and mom from Pennsylvania who also happens to write. She’s been writing for 25 years, fourteen of those for smalltown newspapers in rural Pennsylvania and upstate New York. When she isn’t writing about love, faith, and family life in a small town, she’s taking photographs and homeschooling her two children. She blogs a little bit about a lot of things on her blog Boondock Ramblings at www.lisahoweler.com.
Believer, Husband, and Father: Max B. Sternberg lives in Virginia with his wonderful wife and two incredible boys. When he is not working, or filling his time with the activities of a husband and dad, he enjoys delving deeper into biblical scripture and telling dad jokes. He strives to live his life as best he can – in all areas – for Jesus. Max believes that humor, mixed with truth, and tied together in a relatable way, can be an amazing way to reach people for the Lord. It is his sincere hope that readers will find his imaginings, paired together with biblical truth, inspirational for a deeper relationship with Christ.
Josephine Strand is a wife, mother and grandmother. She was born in Italy, grew up in South Africa, and is currently living in New York with her husband. She discovered her love of books and passion for writing when she was introduced to her town’s public library at the age of eight. At nine, she gained her English teacher’s praise with her short story The Library at Midnight.
Her travels between the three continents have strengthened her love for the sea and the outdoors. When not writing or absorbed in the latest gripping page-turner, she loves to cook and enjoys long nature walks. Misty Dreams is her first published novel. Follow her at https://josephinestrand.com/
C. S. Wachter lives in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with her husband Joe, one German Shepherd, and three cats. She and Joe have been married for more than forty years and have three sons, one grandson and one granddaughter.
Ms. Wachter earned her degree in Performing Arts and English Education from Rowan University in 1975. She compares developing a character’s perspective to preparing for an acting role. As a life-long lover of books, she has read and enjoyed a variety of genres. However, after reading J. R. R. Tolkien in middle school her favorite has been, and remains to this day, Fantasy with a Christian perspective.
